Laurie earned a Bachelor of Science in Corrections and Juvenile Justice Studies from Eastern Kentucky University. She has an extensive and well versed 19 years experience working with children, teens and their families. She harnesses her education, experiences and many resources to help her clients transition into healthier lives.
Rhonda has worked with children with disabilities for the past 10 years in elementary and high school settings. She lives on her family's farm in Garrard County with her husband Daryl and their three kids.
Whitney is the mother of four children - all boys, two have special needs. Whitney has always lived locally, raised on a horse farm in Burgin. She enjoys spending time with her family and absolutely loves animals! She is currently attending BCTC for a degree in Human Services.
Scotty has his Masters Degrees in English and Secondary English Education. He has taught Writing and Rhetoric at the University of Kentucky, and has also worked with adults with developmental disabilities.
Katlin has a passion for helping others live their best lives. She received a Bachelors of Social Work with a minor in psychology from Eastern Kentucky University in May 2020. She is currently enrolled in the University of Kentucky pursuing her Masters of Social Work with an emphasis in clinical social work. In her free time, her and her husband enjoy hiking, trying new restaurants, and walking their beagle.
Raegan graduated from Campbellsville University in 2019 with a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology. She is currently working towards a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University. She is passionate about working with children and their families. She is now working as a CCSA for CAFCA and will be interning this fall.
Christy graduated from Campbellsville University with a Bachelors of Social Work. She plans to pursue a Masters degree in 2021. Christy lives in Harrodsburg and enjoys playing tennis and being outdoors.
Heather graduated from EKU with a degree in Elementary Education. She then got her Master's Degree from University of the Cumberlands. She received her Rank I in Moderate to Severe Disabilities from Georgetown College. Heather has taught in the elementary school setting and now teaches Moderate to Severe Disabilities in the middle school setting.
Shannon has been working children and families since 2017 with the state of Kentucky. Went to Joilet Junior College studying nursing, worked in the clinical setting for over 10 yrs. She enjoys spending time with her husband and five children and working on their hobby farm.
Jeannie graduated from Johnson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services and Bible and Theology. She is equipped to serve families and the community. Mending relationships through holistic approaches is a passion of hers. Before coming on board at CAFCA Jeannie volunteered for three years at a woman’s safe-house in Knoxville TN.

Kayla started working with children as a mentor through the AmeriCorps program, and quickly developed a passion for it. She spent 6 years working with special needs children in an elementary school setting, and has decided to continue serving children and families with CAFCA. She lives in Lancaster, KY with her husband Ryan and their 3 children. Her hobbies include crafting, and spending time with her family!
